Blueprints JUNE 2019

There is a women’s bible study the third wednesday of the month from September to June.  This month’s bible study is June 19th.  See the Blueprints newsletter for more information and times.

There is an opportunity for you to serve as a Worship Assistant (Communion Assistant,
Lector, Greeter, etc.) this summer. See Pastor Lutz for more information. Or sign up on the table in the gathering area or let Rene know in the church office.

Daily Bread is desperately seeking donations of cans of soup, tuna and peanut butter. Summer is a particularly difficult time of year for food banks. Families with children who had been receiving free or reduced-cost breakfast and/or lunch at school need to find a way to replace those meals during summer break. Please place donations in the daily bread basket in the gathering area.

Friday Night Live will be held on June 21st at 7:00PM at the home of Susan Lehmann. Please sign up on the poster board in the Narthex if you will be attending.

On Sunday, June 23rd, we will honor members of our church who are graduating from high school and college during the 9:30 a.m. worship service. If you have a child who will be graduating, please print your child’s name on the graduates list on the table in the Narthex, even if your child can’t attend the worship service on June 23rd. A special Baccalaureate Blessing is planned.

You are invited to a Sanctuary Clean Up and Pastor’s Office Painting Party on Saturday, June 29th from 10:00AM to noon. Bring your favorite vacuum, dust rags, wood cleaner, paintbrushes, and tape. There is a sign-up sheet on the table in the gathering area. Projects for all ages. Pizza will be served for lunch.

Community Vacation Bible School (July 8-12): Registration Forms are on the table in the
Narthex. VBS is for K – 6th grades. 7th & 8th graders can sign up to be CIT’s, and high school students can be teaching assistants. Please note there are two different forms, one for attending and one for the CIT’s and teaching assistants.

Each of the churches participating in our Community Vacation Bible School has been asked to contribute snack food for the children. Prince of Peace has been asked to provide Animal
Crackers. If you are willing to purchase this item, please bring it to Prince of Peace by Sunday, June 30th. You can place them in the box labeled Animal Crackers in the gathering area.
